Mine That Bird is now from New Mexico and trained now by Bennie Woolley (Chip)
Mine That Bird was purchased for $400,000.00 from his previous owner and trainer Dave Cotey of Missisauga Ontario, Canada who had paid $9,500.

"It was a Street Sense move," he said. "I learnt by Street Sense, being so patient with these three-year-olds. They can only go so fast and so far.

"So I sat back and had a good trip and when I hollered at him he just went on."

The Kentucky Derby Purse is $2.2 million for the Winner.
