TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Grieg Seafoods has applied for aquaculture zoning for two new fish farms near Yorke Island in Sunderland Channel, just north of Sayward. If these farms are approved, they will be among the biggest farms on the BC coast at 4400MT each.

I am writing to oppose this application by Grieg Seafoods for aquaculture zoning for two new fish farms at 4400MT each near Yorke Island in Sunderland Channel, just north of Sayward. These fish farm applications must not be approved.

More than 11,000 people worldwide have signed the petition by Alexandra Morton to Protect Wild Salmon.

The Wild Salmon must migrate thru the area where fish farms have been allowed.

The Wild Salmon are infected fatally by the sea lice in the fish farms.

The Wild Salmon must travel their established migratory route which is now thru fish farms that are contaminated with sea lice.

With growing opposition to fish farming along the migratory routes it is not surprising those who profit from fish farms are proceeding quickly with their plans for more and larger fish farms.  The scientific proof is in regarding the fatal outcome for Wild Salmon travelling their migratory routes, routes which are contaminated by fish farms.

Please deny the application by Grieg Seafoods for two new fish farms near Yorke Island in Sunderland Channel, just north of Sayward.

Please allow no fish farms

until fish farms are removed from the migratory routes of Wild Salmon.

Please deny the application by Grieg Seafoods for two new fish farms near Yorke Island in Sunderland Channel, just north of Sayward.
